Victories of the Heart’s WISDOM YEARS WEEKEND – October 14 - 16, 2011
Steve and Alan will be co-leading the Wisdom Years Weekend for men age 50 and over from Friday evening, October 14 to Sunday afternoon, October 16, at the Grand Beach Inn in Grand Beach, Michigan, a short drive from Chicago. Incorporating both small and large group experiences, as well as music, humor, and good fellowship, the weekend is designed to help men of age explore the past influences in their lives that are affecting them today, where they are now in their lives, where they want to go with the rest of their lives (and with whom), and how to get there. It also provides an excellent opportunity for participants to forge and maintain close friendships with each other that last beyond the weekend, and a follow-up group opportunity is offered. The cost of the weekend is $690, but scholarships are available, and no man is ever turned away because of inability to pay. To find out more about the weekend, and to register, go to:

Presentation at CBA’s Committee on Attorney Malpractice
The kinds of actions or inactions that can result in malpractice often are related to personal issues and patterns affecting other aspects of a lawyer’s life, including such challenges as depression, relational difficulties, substance abuse, and avoidance of distressing feelings and situations. On February 1, 2011, Alan and Gayle made a presentation and then facilitated a discussion about these issues at a meeting of the Committee on Attorney Malpractice of the Chicago Bar Association.
